How much time does credit card companies give you to pay off your credit card bill from the day you got it?

20ish days. The date is on the bill.

Answer:It's from the date that the bill was mailed–not the date you received it.

Each bank and credit union has their own period for when you can pay the bill without penalty or interest. It ranges from about 15-25 days. In general, look for a credit card that gives you a bit more time. The date payment is due will be clearly stated on the top of each month's bill. Remember that's the date when they have to receive it, not the date that you mailed it. To be safe, mail your payment about five days before it is due, to allow time for them to receive and process it, particularly if there's a weekend in between.

Answer:In most cases about 20 days. Check the cc statement to be sure.
